Mystical Weekend “Know Thyself”
October 18-19, 2008
San Diego, TX
Thales of Miletus, one of our first Greek philosophers [c.640 – c.562 BC], thought that there was nothing more difficult than knowing oneself. It was this conviction that made him write this fine maxim “Know thyself and thou shalt know the universe and the gods!”
With this short summary, taken from our monographs, evoking the well-known adage, “Know Thyself”, we invite you to join with us at the Mystical Rose Chapter for our Mystical Weekend – Know Thyself - October 18-19, 2008. Guest speakers Grand Master Julie Scott and Grand Lodge Secretary Karen Wark will assist us to discover our mystical self.
This mystical weekend has inspiring rituals, meditations, and experiments, which create an atmosphere of attunement with the Greater Self. This at-one-ment allows us to become one with the underlying principle of the universe. In the heart of every mystic is the instinctive desire to know and understand the world within him.
The search for this knowledge ultimately brings the mystic to the realization, that to understand the world about him, he must first have an understanding of the world within him. This is the understanding of his true inner self, which leads the mystic to the awaking of his divine destiny.
